– Kunzite Mala –
“I am on the Right Path”
Kunzite is a beautiful pink/purple stone that connects the heart and crown chakra, mending any energetic tears between the two. It helps melt down the walls you may have built up around your heart. Metaphysically, it encourages you to let go of this perceived need for protection and open you up to abundant and unconditional love. Use its gentle energy to lower your walls, let down your guard and honestly ask for what you need to feel truly loved. Set the intention to find not only what you can release, but more importantly that which you can accept.
Because of Kunzite’s connection to the crown chakra it really focuses on the abundant and unconditional love from the universe. Feeling this universal support allows one to really have a strong sense of faith. Invite in this faith every time you put on your mala and recite its mantra, I am on the right path. Remember that you are not alone. there are greater energies helping you thrive!
We chose the mantra “I am on the Right Path” for this kunzite mala, but you can charge your mala with any mantra of your choosing. To do this, sit quietly with your beads in your hands. Imagine white light spreading through each bead to clear. Then repeat your new mantra, visualizing it filling every bead in the mala, VOILA!
Hamsa Bead
Every omCAKIom necklace is adorned with a mother of pearl hamsa bead. The hamsa is a symbol of protection and blessings. Along with protection, it brings the wearer luck, happiness and good fortune. While stringing every hamsa bead, I do a meditation with visualization of the wearer being blessed and protected by white light. A little added energetic bonus!
Mother of Pearl
Because of it’s organic origins, Mother of Pearl isn’t a mineral. None the less, it is very soothing and nourishing. Pearls are born when a piece of sand finds its way into a mollusk and irritates it until it attempts to sooth itself with a coating of nacre. The layers of the pearl are built out of mollusks innate desire to nourish itself. Metaphysical properties usually mirror physical properties, and that is true with mother of pearl. It encourages self-love and self-nurturing. It is also a stone of metamorphosis. The sand enters as a drab tan bit and emerges as a beautiful pearl.
5 Interesting facts about Kunzite:
- Metaphysical Energy of Love: Kunzite is often referred to as the “Stone of Emotion” or the “Stone of Divine Love.” It is associated with the heart and crown chakras, promoting feelings of unconditional love, compassion, and emotional healing. Many believe that Kunzite’s energy helps dissolve emotional blockages and opens the heart to receive and give love more freely.
- Trace Element Indicators: Geologically, Kunzite is a variety of the mineral spodumene, and its beautiful pink to lilac color is typically attributed to trace amounts of manganese. The presence of manganese imparts these delightful pastel hues to the crystal. Kunzite crystals can be found in various shades, ranging from pale pink to deeper violet.
- Named After a Gemologist: Kunzite is named after George Frederick Kunz, an American mineralogist and gemologist who was instrumental in popularizing the gem. He served as the chief gemologist at Tiffany & Co. in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and made significant contributions to the understanding of gemstones.
- Pleochroism: Kunzite exhibits pleochroism, a phenomenon where the gemstone shows different colors when viewed from different angles. In the case of Kunzite, this pleochroism can be observed in shades ranging from pinkish-lilac to violet, depending on the crystal orientation. This optical property adds to the gem’s visual appeal.
- Vulnerability to Sunlight: While Kunzite is prized for its delicate hues, it is important to note that prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause fading. The color of Kunzite can fade over time when exposed to ultraviolet (UV) radiation, so it is advisable to store Kunzite jewelry away from direct sunlight to preserve its vibrant color. This characteristic highlights the gem’s sensitivity and adds an interesting aspect to its care and maintenance.
