Moonstone

Moonstone connects us to the divine feminine. It has a softer energy that allows one to really tune into their intuition, letting go of fear and self-doubt.  I believe every woman should have some moonstone in their home, it is a bonus if you can wear it! This is a feldspar mineral so it has tiny flashes of iridescence. This necklace is made of rainbow moonstone so when you see a flash, it is usually blue.

Moonstone is known to balance hormones, making it a good stone to wear when experiencing fertility issues or pregnancy and postpartum hormones. It may have a calming effect which helps to stabilize emotions. When we are calm and balanced, we can fully step into our feminine power. Also, it is an amazing stone to use to remind you to respond and not react. Usually it is the ego that comes up first when we are challenged. Use your moonstone necklace to remind you of your intention to quiet the ego so that you can respond in your most authentic way.

Tradition says that moonstone gives the wearer protection while traveling. Given its association with the moon, it is a stone of quiet shadows and mystery, making it a perfect crystal to use while diving within and working on oneself.

Diamonds metaphysical properties very much mirror its physical attributes. It is a stone of strength and invincibility. It promotes absolute radiance, with a light & joyful undertone. Connected to the crown chakra, it connects one to spirit. Though, in the fire of a diamond all colors can be seen, making it a stone of energetic alignment.

Mother of Pearl

Mother of Pearl isn’t a mineral given it’s organic origins, but it is known to be very soothing and nourishing. Pearls are born when a piece of sand finds its way into a mollusk and irritates it until it attempts to sooth itself with a coating of nacre. The layers of the pearl are built out of mollusks innate desire to nourish itself. Metaphysical properties usually mirror physical properties, and that is true with mother of pearl. It encourages self-love and self-nurturing. It is also a stone of metamorphosis. The sand enters as a drab tan bit and emerges as a beautiful pearl.
